Hoi An ancient city in the top 10 Food and Wine Destinations in Asia

Hoi An ancient city in the central province of Quang Nam ranked sixth among the Travelers’ Choice 2011 Top 10 Food and Wine Destinations in Asia, announced the world famous travel website Tripadvisor on November 22.

Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, topped the list, while Hong Kong (China) was second and Seminyak in Indonesia came in third, followed by Singapore and Sapporo, Japan.

According to Tripadvisor.com, Hoi An’s cuisine is “lavish in both flavour and appearance.” The many traditional specialties such as ‘Cao Lau’ (noodles with roasted pork), ‘Mi Quang’ (Quang noodles) and crispy fried ‘Banh Xeo’ (rice pancakes) have proven to be great favourites with most foreign visitors. So,the Vietnam travel agencies promote tourism development,here.

Vietnam’s Hoi An city and World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province are also on the website’s list of the Top 25 Destinations in Asia.
