Overseas Vietnamese in Canada vote for Ha Long Bay
The Vietnamese embassy in Canada held a ceremony on November 5 to encourage people to vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
Many officials, embassy staff and Vietnamese representative offices, vietnam travel agencies joined the voting along with overseas Vietnamese living in Canada.
Vietnamese ambassador to Canada, Le Sy Vuong Ha, said Ha Long Bay has been twice recognised twice by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage site and voting for Ha Long city as one of the Seven Natural Wonders shows national pride and promotes the beauty of Vietnam to international friends.
