Italian TV game show promotes Vietnam’s tourism

Eight Italian couples are participating in a game show organised by the European country’s RAI Television (RAI TV) which introduces various loalities in Vietnam.
The couples arrived in Dong Hoi city in the central province of Quang Binh on May 6 for their fifth mission, where they will have to learn and sing a Vietnamese song besides a monument dedicated to a Vietnamese heroic mother, Mother Suot.
A member of the show’s jury, Allegra said the site was chosen for its great historical value as a symbol for Vietnamese mothers who have made great contribution and sacrifice for the country during the wartime.
After listening to local girls sing the Vietnamese song “Nhu co Bac Ho trong ngay vui dai thang” (Uncle Ho seems to be with us in happy days of the great victory), the participating couples’ mission is to find copies of the song’s lyrics hidden at eight spots in Dong Hoi market and learn from locals how to sing the song. They have to sing this song in Vietnamese fluently besides the monument in order to be able to continue to the next mission, which is scheduled to take place at Hien Luong bridge in the neighbouring province of Quang Tri.
Participating couples have to find the way and means to their next destination by themselves, and each person is given only 1 EUR for their travel.
Their trip started in the capital city of Hanoi, and they have travelled through northern Quang Ninh province’s Ha Long city, northern Ninh Binh province and Vinh city of central Nghe An province.
