Free tour to Halong Bay during the holiday
According to the Quang Ninh inland water port authority, the Ha Long Bay received more than 104,000 foreign and local tourists during the Tet holidays.
Previously, the Quang Ninh People’s Committee decided to offer free-of-charge tours to the Ha Long Bay for visitors between January 23rd and February 5th. As a result, according to Vietnam travel companies,the number of tourists to the Bay increased substantially, to about over 10,400 arrivals per day against anaverage figure of 7,400 visitors.
It is the first time the Quang Ninh Province offered free tours to the Ha Long since it became one of the New 7 Wonders of the World in November, 2011.
The decision showed the gratitude of the province to visitors who supported and voted for the Ha Long Bay and at the same time help expand its image to international friends.
