Ceremony honors for the international travel agencies in Vietnam
The General Department of Tourism, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Airlines Corporation will hold a program to honour the international travel agencies which have conducted their tours to Vietnam, between November 30th and December 3rd.
The event includes surveys at tourist areas in Hanoi and Ha Long cities and a gala at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Hanoi on December 2nd with the participation of 250 foreign delegates from international top-ranking airlines, hotels and 45 travel services from China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Russia, the USA, Australia and many others.
It is the first time that the General Department of Tourism held a program to acknowledge the contributions of the international travel agencies to Vietnam’s tourism development.
Earlier, on November 29th, China’s Mega Beijing Travel Company also held a exchange, “Boosting tourism development cooperation with Vietnamese partners”, with the participation of 60 Vietnamese travel agencies. Chinese tourists to Vietnam make up 25-30 per cent of total number of foreign visitors annually.
