Singapore is the southmost terminal of the Malaysian railway system. The country's only international railway line is operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), which is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia.

The track commences from the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station in southern Singapore, proceeds north through Bukit Timah and crosses the 1.2 km causeway to Johor Bahru on the Malay Peninsula, where it then runs along the peninsular's west coast through Kuala Lumpur and onwards to Thailand and beyond...
