The Northern and Central Region Culture and Tourism week 2011

The “Northern and Central Region Culture and Tourism Heritage Week 2011” will take place in Hanoi from November 21st to 23rd with the participation of six regional provinces in response to the 7th Vietnam Culture Heritage Day 2011 launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event aims to affirm potential of Vietnam travel agency, especially culture heritages, the valuable factors to form and promote special tourism products and popularise the image of Vietnam.

Around 40 travel businesses and handicraft villages from the Northern and Central Region and Hanoi will introduce their products and models and maps showing their culture heritages such as Ho Dynasty Citadel, Sen Village, Commemorative site for great poet Nguyen Du and others.

Moreover, Ha Tinh Province will introduce a “The Tale of Kieu” written in calligraphy. This book itself has the size of 1.2 meters x 1.6 meters and weighs 75 kgs. It also consists of many photos about heritages in the Province. Hanoians will also see the beauty of the Ancient Imperial Capital of Hue and enjoy special dishes from the northern and central region.

During the exhibition, there will be a Cultural Festival of Handicraft Villages and an artistic exchange, themed “The night of the North Central Culture Heritages in Hanoi” that will be broadcast live on VTV2 on November 23rd at 8pm.
