40 International Fine Art delegations to participate in Hue Festival 2012

The opening ceremony of Hue Festival 2012 will be held on April 7th 2012, with 40 international fine art delegations are scheduled to take part in the event.

Standing Deputy Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee Ngo Hoa, and the Consul General of the Union of Russia in Danang, Mr. Yury B. Materiy, have just announced that two Russian fine art groups will officially participate in Hue Festival 2012.

The Hue Festival 2012 is themed "Cultural Heritage combined with Economic Development and International Integration” which connects with the National Tourism Year 2012 of the North and Central Coast Region.

According to the organising board, 30 countries around the world have registered the participation of 40 fine art delegations.

The Hue province believes that with its longstanding historical and cultural traditions and through the organization of the 2012 National Tourism Year, the province will raise its profile as a destination with unique world cultural and natural heritages, contributing to strengthening Vietnam’s image in the international arena, and creating a foundation for the city of Hue to become a centre of culture and tourism.

Mr. Yury B. Masteriy promises to work with travel companies to attract more Russian tourists to Hue Festival 2012.
